The closed up doorway probably needs soundproofing and perhaps the adjoining wall to the flat.

I would be grateful for your help. I am seeking a budget quotation to help soundproof the ceiling of our ground floor modern development flat. We have suffered a lot of high impact noise such as banging and thumping noises from neighbours above and would like to reduce the sound. We have also had problems with sound of loud music, tv and raised voices.
We would be aiming to reduce the sound in our lounge. Sizes are as follows:
